Aramón Formigal – Panticosa
Add to my travelAramón Formigal-Panticosa is the largest ski destination in Spain and sets the bar for winter sport lovers. Here you will find six valleys and 180 skiable kilometers where you will enjoy the snow in the spectacular Pyrenean surroundings of the Tena Valley.
SECTOR FORMIGAL
One of the liveliest seasons in the Pyrenees, both day and night; a popular center for ski-lovers. A stone’s throw away from the town of Sallent de Gállego, Formigal offers 137 skiable kilometers distributed throughout its four valleys.
Access to the slopes is easy and convenient, with four parking areas provided. If you are staying in Formigal and do not want to take the car, the station has a free bus service; in a few minutes you can travel from the center of the urbanization to the main entrance of the station.
By day you can enjoy the multiple activities programmed on the slopes, always entertained by music from the best DJs. If your stomach starts to rumble, you have 28 dining points to choose from, which you will find scattered throughout the area.
Travelling with little ones, then visit the igloo of Sarrios and the Indian forest village. As night falls, the fun continues. Formigal offers you the possibility to do night excursions on snowmobiles or dog sleds. A unique experience!
SECTOR PANTICOSA
Panticosa is an ideal destination for family fun, although what it has to offer appeals to all types of skiers. As well as its 39 skiable kilometers, we must mention the abundant dream-like landscape and typical mountain villages that cover the valley. Explore one of its many trails and relax in the Panticosa Resort, which is much more than a spa. If you are going with children, head to Lacuniacha (in Piedrafita de Jaca), the family park.
On the slopes, both young and old will have a great time sliding down on doughnuts and sleds at the adventure slope multi-adventure area. The children also have a children’s snow park where they can start practicing jumps and tricks.
At the end of the ski day, the fun continues with a complete après-ski entertainment for the whole family.
And if you come in the summer, don’t forget that Panticosa opens for the holidays. Hop on the Los Lagos gondola lift and, once up, its trails will lead you to several lagoons and viewpoints with absolutely spectacular views.
