Welcome to Designation of Origin Cariñena, one of the oldest in our country. Grape varieties included are: red Garnacha, Mazuela, Tempranillo, Monastrell, Juan Ibáñez, Cabernet Sauvignon, Macabeo, White Garnacha, Parellada and Roman Muscat.

The Association for Touristic Promotion ‘Campo de Cariñena Wine Route’ combines efforts from different partners targeting new proposals on Wine Tourism, so that you can enjoy this genuine territory across different sceneries in terms of landscape, monuments, cuisine and wine.

If you had the chance, visit Cariñena during Vintage Celebration, a popular day plenty of activities where the start of harvesting the grapes is celebrated. Among these activities, we must mention the feet-made first grape smashing and the Fountain ‘de la Mora’ lit, where wine springs from.

If you are willing to learn about Wine production in this Designation of Origin, don’t miss the Wine Museum in Cariñena. It is located in a former cellar known as Wine and Vineyard House, where a lot of activities are held, such as conferences, lectures and training courses.

You can also hop on the Wine Bus. Trips are offered from Zaragoza on a monthly basis, driving along interesting cellars, Heritage and cuisine.
